Lucknow relief operations deploy boats and drones amid Gomti River flooding

Relief and rescue operations are underway in Lucknow following rising water levels in the Gomti River. Under the direction of the Yogi government, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation is working to provide food, rations, and clean drinking water to families affected by flooding.

Due to movement difficulties in submerged areas, relief supplies are being transported via boats. In collaboration with private organizations, municipal teams have distributed approximately 1,900 food packets and drinking water bottles across various zones, including Zone-3 and Zone-6. Specific affected areas include Faizullaganj, Gulmi Kheda, Hayat Nagar, and several other localities.

To prevent the spread of infectious diseases and control mosquito breeding caused by stagnant water, authorities have deployed drones to spray anti-larva agents in Lohramau and Daudnagar. Approximately 70 employees from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University have been assisting in managing and loading relief materials for distribution.
