LUCUA Osaka mall to launch 19 new stores in phased renovation through 2028

The West Japan Railway Company’s commercial‑facility arm JR West SC Development will begin a multi‑year renewal of its LUCUA Osaka complex in the fall of 2026. The three‑tower shopping centre – LUCUA, LUCUA 1100 (formerly LUCUA Iére) and LUCUA SOUTH – will be upgraded in stages through 2028.

The first phase adds 19 new retailers, many debuting in Japan or western Japan, including OMMO, South‑Korean label Matin Kim, the select‑shop “365”, Afternoon Tea ReMIX, and accessory brand “Ebine Accessory”. LUCUA SOUTH opened its first phase in April 2026, and the operator has set FY2025 targets of ¥110.3 billion revenue and 88 million visitors. The rollout of the new stores will continue from early August into winter.
