Ludbreg hosts large-scale Holy Sunday pilgrimage

Tens of thousands of pilgrims gathered in Ludbreg for the annual Holy Sunday celebrations, a major religious event in Croatia. The festivities included a central Eucharistic celebration at the Sanctuary of the Precious Blood of Christ, led by Archbishop Zdenko Križić.

The event drew large crowds, with local officials estimating attendance figures around 50,000 people. The celebrations featured traditional processions and served as a significant spiritual gathering for the region.

Members of the Croatian Army, police, and various veteran communities also participated in the provincial pilgrimage. These groups joined historical units, civil protection, and the Red Cross to honor the values of the Homeland War through spiritual reflection and communal solidarity.
