LMU Munich student data breached in hacker attack
An unknown hacker has breached an IT system at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, gaining access to personal student data. The compromised system contained master data related to enrollments.
Potential stolen information includes names, postal addresses, email addresses, places of birth, bank details, and information regarding previous educational qualifications. The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt) and IT forensic specialists are currently investigating the incident.
