Lugoj receives three new electric buses via Coșteiu partnership

The municipality of Lugoj has received three new 12-meter electric buses, acquired through a partnership with the commune of Coșteiu. This initiative is part of a broader modernization project aimed at developing an integrated public transport system that extends services to adjacent localities.

To support the new fleet, six charging stations will be installed. The project is driven by the newly established Intercommunity Development Association for Transport, which includes Lugoj and the communes of Coșteiu, Găvojdia, Bârna, and Victor Vlad Delamarina. According to Mayor Călin Dobra, the association aims to create a cohesive transport network connecting the municipality with its neighboring areas to facilitate easier movement for residents.
