Luisa González appeal admitted by Ecuador's TCE

The Electoral Contentious Tribunal (TCE) has admitted for processing a subjective appeal filed by Luisa González regarding her candidacy for the Prefecture of Manabí. The appeal seeks to overturn previous decisions by the Provincial Electoral Board of Manabí and the National Electoral Council (CNE), which rejected her nomination under the Pachakutik movement.

While the TCE has formally qualified the challenge to proceed, it denied the defense's request for an oral hearing. The tribunal ruled that the case will be resolved based solely on the written documents and arguments provided by the parties. The matter has been referred to the tribunal's plenary session for debate and final resolution.
