Luján hosts religious pilgrimage and traditionalist parade

The city of Luján is hosting significant cultural and religious events. The 52nd edition of the Youth Pilgrimage to Luján is scheduled for the weekend of October 3 and 4, 2026. This traditional walk involves thousands of faithful traveling toward the Basilica of Luján, with the official departure of the Virgin's image set for 10:00 from the San Cayetano Sanctuary in Liniers. The most traditional route covers approximately 60 kilometers.

Additionally, the “Luján es Tradición” event will feature a traditionalist horse parade on Sunday, September 27. Organized by the Municipality of Luján and various traditionalist groups, the event honors the first horse pilgrimage to the sanctuary. The program includes the Pericón Nacional, the national anthem, and official speeches from the Rector of the Basilica and the municipal mayor.
