Lukoil refinery in Perm hit by massive Ukrainian drone attack
Ukrainian forces launched a massive drone attack targeting industrial sites deep within Russia. In the city of Perm, located approximately 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, a major Lukoil oil refinery was struck and set on fire. The facility is a significant asset to the Russian oil industry, processing over 13 million tons of oil annually.
Perm Governor Dmitri Machonin confirmed the scale of the drone attack, though initial reports indicated no fatalities at the refinery site.
Simultaneous strikes were reported in other Russian cities. In Uljanovsk, an electronics plant belonging to the defense contractor Almas-Antei was reportedly hit. Regional Governor Alexey Russkikh reported eight injuries, including a child, and damage to both civilian and industrial infrastructure in that region.
