LUMA Energy schedules weekend power outages across 21 Puerto Rico municipalities

LUMA Energy announced that maintenance, upgrades and system modernization will require scheduled power interruptions on Saturday 13 June and Sunday 14 June. The outages will affect 21 municipalities in Puerto Rico, with some areas facing up to 12 hours without electricity. Specific impacts include Bayamón (8 a.m.–5 p.m.), Cabo Rojo (8 a.m.–8 p.m.), Caguas (7 a.m.–6 p.m.), Carolina (various morning windows), and many other towns such as San Juan, Cayey, Gurabo, Mayagüez, and San Sebastián. The utility detailed streets, neighborhoods, schools, hospitals and commercial centers that will lose service during the two‑day window.
