Luo Chao faces Marat Grigorian in ONE SAMURAI kickboxing semifinal

Luo Chao is set to face Marat Grigorian in a semifinal match of the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament. The bout will take place on Saturday, October 17, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Luo Chao, a 25-year-old fighter from Nanchang, enters the tournament on a six-fight winning streak. His recent victories include a split decision win over Denis Souza Jr. in May and a decision victory against Kosuke Takagi at ONE SAMURAI 2. Luo, who utilizes a sanda-based style, aims to become the next Chinese athlete to secure a ONE gold title.

Grigorian, a 35-year-old three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion, is also on a four-fight winning streak following a unanimous decision victory over Mamuka Usubyan in August. The tournament winner will earn a guaranteed title shot against the reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion, Superbon.
