Luzon Economic Corridor: Marcos seeks international investment

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is actively seeking international partnerships and private-sector investment to realize the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC). Speaking at the LEC Investment Forum in Taguig City, the President emphasized the need to transition from verbal commitments to funded, operational projects that generate jobs and economic opportunities.

The LEC is designed as an interlinked hub connecting key areas including Metro Manila, Clark, Subic Bay, and Batangas. Marcos highlighted the strategic importance of these locations, noting that Subic Bay serves as a maritime and industrial gateway, Clark is a growing center for aviation and technology, and Batangas is a primary base for manufacturing and energy.

The initiative aims to position the Philippines as a stable and reliable destination for long-term investment, particularly as global supply chains undergo redesign and technological shifts.
