Governor hopeful Álvaro Dias wins mayoral endorsement in Ipanguaçu, Rio Grande do Norte

The gathering included the vice‑mayor, municipal council leaders and the vice‑governor candidate Babá Pereira. Dias highlighted his plan to regionalize health services, upgrade interior hospitals and recruit specialists such as cardiologists and neurosurgeons. He also cited his tenure as Natal’s mayor, noting a 65 % approval rating and claiming that his experience can drive transformation across the state. The endorsement strengthens Dias’s presence in the strategically important Vale do Açu region ahead of the upcoming election.
