ElectroMobility Poland receives 4.5 billion PLN for EV hub
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has become the majority shareholder of ElectroMobility Poland (EMP), injecting nearly 4.5 billion PLN into the company. These funds, sourced from the National Recovery Plan (KPO), are designated for the development of the Polish Electromobility Hub in Jaworzno.
The project aims to establish a production facility for electric vehicles, with the first models expected to roll off the assembly line in 2029. The initiative involves strategic cooperation with Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) and Foxtron Vehicle Technologies to leverage international expertise and develop a local supply chain. The hub will also include research and development centers to foster engineering competencies in Poland.
In separate industrial news, the waste incineration plant in Krosno is nearing completion, with a cold start scheduled for September. The facility, costing approximately 140 million PLN, is expected to process 22,000 tons of waste annually and provide up to 50% of the city's heating through thermal waste processing.
