Poland launches multiple local road upgrade projects worth over 100 million zł

Polish local authorities are carrying out a series of road improvement projects across the country. In Mielec County, the County Road Board approved contracts worth more than 12.6 million zł to rebuild two county roads in Wola Mielecka and Podleszany, adding sidewalks, bike paths and upgraded intersections.

The city of Płock announced a 12‑month tender to modernise the road network on the Miodowa Jar estate, including new asphalt streets, concrete sidewalks, parking bays, driveway connections and upgraded storm‑water, sewage and water‑supply infrastructure, as well as energy‑efficient LED lighting.

Łódź’s Road and Transport Management plans to asphalt 43 streets by the end of 2026, extending a programme that has already upgraded about 100 unpaved “gruntówki” at a cost of 73 million zł, improving safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

In Lwówek Śląski, reconstruction of a footbridge serving local allotment gardens is underway after flood damage, with demolition and rebuilding phases scheduled through 2025.

Rzeszów County signed a contract worth 1.44 million zł to replace the bridge over the Lisianka stream on county road 1398R, adding a two‑lane carriageway, a pedestrian sidewalk and safety features, with completion expected by 2026.
