Ly Bich Linh prosecuted for embezzlement in Lang Son

Ly Bich Linh, the former Chairperson of the Board and Director of Hop Thinh Cooperative, has been criminally prosecuted for embezzlement. On September 9, 2026, the Economic Police of the Lang Son Provincial Police issued the decision to initiate a criminal case against her under Clause 2, Article 353 of the Penal Code.

Investigations revealed that during her tenure from 2013 to August 2019, Linh repeatedly withdrew large amounts of cash from the cooperative's funds for personal use. These actions caused significant damage to the collective assets of the cooperative, which has been operating in Ky Lua Ward, Lang Son, since 2006. Authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to recover the misappropriated assets.
