Following the prosecution and detention of former branch director Trần Văn Thịnh and team leader Nguyễn Anh Dũng in July 2026, official Nguyễn Duy Sáng has now been formally prosecuted under Article 353 of the Penal Code.

Investigations indicate that between January and June 2025, Thịnh and Dũng directed employees to collect payments from local households without providing receipts or invoices. These misappropriated funds were reportedly handed over to Sáng for personal use. Police are continuing to investigate the potential involvement of other individuals.
