Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School vice principal apologizes for parking incident

A vice principal at Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School (Campus 3) in Viet Hung Ward, Quang Ninh, has accepted responsibility after parking a car near students during a flag-raising ceremony on September 7. The incident, captured in social media videos, sparked public outcry regarding the solemnity of the ceremony and potential safety risks for students.

Following an investigation by the school and local authorities, the vice principal stated she had followed security guard instructions to park in the courtyard. She has since moved the vehicle, issued a formal apology, and is undergoing a review process.

In response to the incident, the school has announced new measures to regulate vehicle movement. These include restricting cars from entering or exiting the school gates during peak student drop-off and pick-up hours. The school also issued guidance for parents to ensure students are picked up in designated safe areas and to avoid obstructing school entrances.
