M. Pokora stars in TF1 film about Oradour-sur-Glane massacre

Singer and actor M. Pokora is starring in a two-part television film on TF1 centered on the Oradour-sur-Glane massacre that occurred on June 10, 1944. The project aims to raise awareness about the tragedy, which involved the killing of 642 or 643 men, women, and children by a Waffen-SS division.

M. Pokora expressed a desire to engage with the collective memory of France, noting that a significant portion of the population, particularly younger generations, may be unaware of the event. His commitment to the project was strengthened after visiting the site and meeting Robert Hébras, the last survivor of the massacre, before his death in 2023.

The production is directed by Pierre Aknine and produced by Mediawan for broadcast on TF1.
