M1 news broadcast controversy involves claims of former staff participation

Politician Balázs Németh has alleged that the first news broadcast on the restarted M1 channel on August 20 was produced by former staff members from the previous era of the station. Németh based his claim on a photograph posted by Duna TV director Ádám Szeleczky, which shows the M1 control room.

Németh asserts that the individual in the editor's chair is a long-time professional who has worked on M1 news for many years. This contradicts previous statements by news director Balázs Bodacz, who told Telex that no former M1 employees participated in the production of the August 20 broadcast. Németh criticized Bodacz, suggesting that the experienced team was essential to successfully conducting the broadcast.
