Mabe opens regional logistics hub in Guatemala to serve Northern Triangle

Home appliance manufacturer Mabe has inaugurated a new Regional Logistics Hub in Escuintla, Guatemala. Located within the Synergy Industrial Park, the 15,000-square-meter facility is designed to optimize the supply chain for the Northern Triangle, including Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. The hub features 10 specialized loading docks and has a storage capacity of up to 120,000 finished appliance units.

Separately, the business landscape in Latin America is shifting as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance becomes a mandatory requirement for corporate procurement. The organization FUNDES has warned that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) failing to demonstrate data-driven sustainability and ethical workplace practices risk being excluded from lucrative contracts with multinational corporations.
