Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly targeting Pierria Henry

Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly interested in signing experienced playmaker Pierria Henry to bolster its roster. The 33-year-old, who has previously played for Baskonia and Fenerbahce, is seeking a return to the EuroLeague following a lengthy suspension.

Henry has been sidelined since January 2023 after being accused of manipulating a doping control by providing a false urine sample following a match against Maccabi in November 2022. FIBA issued a four-year suspension in February 2024, a decision that was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in 2025.

With the suspension set to expire in January 2027, Henry could potentially rejoin European competition early. Maccabi Tel Aviv, currently struggling with a 2-8 record in the EuroLeague, is looking for reinforcements to improve its standing.
