Pierria Henry professional basketball return

Overview

Former Baskonia point guard Pierria Henry has signaled a potential return to professional basketball by sharing footage of intense physical training on social media. Henry is currently serving a suspension imposed by FIBA following an anti-doping rule violation, with his period of inactivity scheduled to end on January 13, 2027.

Reports indicate that Maccabi Tel Aviv is interested in signing the 33-year-old playmaker to bolster its roster. Henry has been sidelined since January 2023 after being accused of manipulating a doping control by providing a false urine sample following a match against Maccabi in November 2022. A four-year suspension issued by FIBA in February 2024 was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 2025.
