Macedonia arrests four after ten domestic violence reports in 24 hours
On 26 May 2026, Macedonian police recorded ten separate domestic‑violence complaints across multiple municipalities, including Skopje, Karpos, Kisela Voda, Radoviš, Veles, Ohrid, Gostivar and Tetovo. The incidents involved physical assaults and threats by family members such as a father‑in‑law, a brother, a partner, a grandson and a son.
Police detained four suspects in connection with the cases, documenting the reports and preparing charges.
