Macedonia invests €25 million in local roads with World Bank support, says Deputy PM Nikoloski

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Alexander Nikoloski announced that the Macedonian government, in cooperation with the World Bank, has signed contracts worth about €25.3 million to reconstruct and rehabilitate local roads in municipalities across the country.

The programme covers the renovation of 96 streets in 72 municipalities, amounting to roughly 103 km of road work – 72 km already completed and another 31 km under construction. The road projects are part of a broader €350 million investment plan for local infrastructure scheduled for 2024‑2025.
