Macedonia police detain five individuals for domestic‑violence offenses

On the night of 23‑24 June 2026, police across North Macedonia arrested five men following domestic‑violence complaints. In Strumica, a 48‑year‑old was taken after his former partner reported a physical assault and ongoing threats. In the Kičevo region, a 45‑year‑old was detained for allegedly attacking his sister with a wooden object. In Veles, an 18‑year‑old was arrested after his partner said he confined her at home and issued threats. In Tetovo, a 36‑year‑old was taken after his father reported aggressive behavior and threats toward the family. In Kriva Palanka, a 19‑year‑old was detained after his ex‑girlfriend accused him of stalking and intimidation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said investigations are ongoing and charges will be filed against the suspects.
