Macedonia records twelve outdoor fires, three remain active

The Crisis Management Center (CUK) reported that by 18:00 local time twelve fires were registered on open land across the Republic of North Macedonia. Three of these fires are still active – one in Probistip municipality near the villages of Pleshinc and Stromosh, another in the Kumanevo area near Vinice, and a third in Petrovec municipality along the route from Gorno Konjari to Vinice. A separate blaze near the Rosoman landfill in Kavardatsi municipality is being kept under control.

Eight additional fires have been fully extinguished in various regions, including Mogila (Srpci and Beranci), Veles (Bojadzhina Ceshma), Struga (Gents Komerc), Studenichani, Vrapciste (Negotino), Struga (Delogozda), Kumanevo (Kosturnica monument), and Gevgelija (Miervci to Petrovo). All incidents involved dry vegetation, grass, shrubs or low forest cover.
