Macedonia reports 11 wildfires, one still burning near Beliça

The State Crisis Management Center registered a total of 11 open‑space fires across the country by 18:00 local time. One fire remains active in the municipality of Macedonian Brod, in the area of the village Beliça, where low‑lying vegetation is burning. Two fire‑fighting units from the local fire service and the Public Enterprise for Multi‑Purpose Area Protection were dispatched, assisted by two DZS “ER tractors”.

A second blaze in the municipality of Brvenica, near the village Miletino, has been placed under control. The remaining nine incidents have been fully extinguished, including fires in the villages of Kuckovo (Gorge Petrov municipality), Crkvino (Veles), Crveni Bregov i (Negotino), Stojakovo (Bogdanci), Dobrejci (Strumica), the “St. Joakim Osogovski” monastery (Kriva Palanka), Cireviḱ (Prilep), Nov Karaorman (Karbinc), and Smojmirovo (Berovo). Local authorities continue to monitor the situation and intervene as needed.
