Macedonian police detain 12 people in nationwide marijuana raids

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said police conducted coordinated raids across Macedonia overnight, arresting individuals in Skopje, Gostivar, Bitola and several villages. Seven suspects were detained in Skopje and the nearby village of Palčishe after officers found marijuana packages, white powder and other substances. Additional arrests brought the total to twelve people, including a 19‑year‑old Serbian citizen caught with white powder in Skopje's City Park. Searches of vehicles and premises uncovered marijuana, a white granular material and white powder, prompting criminal and misdemeanor charges under the penal code.

Authorities indicated that all cases will be fully documented and appropriate legal proceedings will follow.
