Macedonian police detain three suspects for domestic violence offenses

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia reported six domestic‑violence complaints filed within a 24‑hour period. Police units in Skopje, Kumanovo and other regions acted on the reports and placed three individuals in custody.

One case involved a 43‑year‑old woman from Skopje who said her husband assaulted their 13‑year‑old son on May 7. Another detention was of a 52‑year‑old man who allegedly attacked his 47‑year‑old partner in the city centre on May 10‑11. A third arrest concerned a 38‑year‑old woman who was accused of physically assaulting her 41‑year‑old husband in Karpoš on May 11. Additional complaints were logged from Kočani, Ohrid and Kumanovo, and authorities said formal charges will be pursued after completing investigations.
