Macedonian universities announce 2026-2027 enrollment schedules
Major Macedonian universities have announced the enrollment schedules and available capacities for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Goce Delchev University (UGD) in Stip will begin its first enrollment round for 12 faculties and three academies on August 19, 20, and 21. The university offers 1,692 state-quota spots, 972 co-financed spots, and 735 part-time spots. Preliminary results are expected on August 26, with final decisions on August 31 and enrollment occurring between September 1 and 3. Rector Dejan Mirakovski noted a 28% increase in applications compared to the previous year, with high interest in medical sciences, informatics, economics, and law.
Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) in Skopje has opened 8,851 total spots across 23 faculties. This includes 4,395 state-quota spots, 3,621 co-financed spots, and 835 part-time spots. The first application round is scheduled for August 18 and 19. The Medical Faculty, Faculty of Informatics (FINKI), and others show the highest capacity. Final rankings will be released on August 27, with enrollment set for September 3 and 4. Subsequent enrollment rounds are planned for September 10 and 23 for any remaining vacancies.
