Macedonian university karate team heads to Tirana for European Championships

The Macedonian university karate representation is traveling to Tirana to compete in the European University Karate Championships, held from September 9 to 11 as part of the EUSA European University Combat Sports Championships.

Selector Bosko Zaborski stated that the team is prepared and motivated despite facing strong competition. He noted a limitation regarding team entries: due to new organizational rules requiring all team members to belong to the same university, Macedonia will not be able to register teams in the kumite discipline for male and female categories.

The Macedonian delegation includes Vukashin Jovanovic, Petar Zaborski, Danilo Bozhovic, Redzhep Rushiti, Stefan Stojanovic, Rudina Aliu, Jovana Mitovska, Viktoria Jovanovska, Gresa Mustafai, and Erdone Ziberi. The event in Tirana is expected to host over 1,500 student-athletes from approximately 400 universities competing in karate, judo, taekwondo, and kickboxing.
