Madeira inaugurates 1.2 million euro renovation of Lar do Porto Moniz

The Regional Government of Madeira has inaugurated a 1.2 million euro renovation project at the Lar do Porto Moniz elderly care facility. Funded through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the project involved the complete requalification of the facility's 36 beds, including new rooms, equipment, and infrastructure.

Looking forward, the regional leadership announced plans to acquire adjacent land to expand the facility. The goal is to construct a new building connected to the existing structure to increase capacity by 20 beds, utilizing Madeira's Social Security funds to optimize the use of current industrial kitchens, laundries, and technical services.
