Madhya Pradesh and Delhi weather alerts: rain in east MP, poor air quality in capital

The India Meteorological Department warned that eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh—including Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat and Maikhurd—may see thunderstorms, heavy rain and winds of 30‑40 km/h over the next five days. Residents were advised to avoid open fields, trees and power lines during storms and to manage irrigation and drainage on farms.

In Delhi, temperatures are expected to remain high with maximums around 36‑38 °C and humidity up to 83 %. The city recorded an AQI of 261, the worst in 85 days, prompting health concerns. Winds of 20‑40 km/h may provide limited relief, but officials warned of continued heat stress and poor air quality.
