Madhya Pradesh CM announces fourfold compensation for land acquisition

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that farmers will receive four times the compensation if their agricultural land is acquired for government projects. Addressing the Balram Krishi Mahotsav via video conference, Yadav emphasized the state government's commitment to protecting the interests of farmers and their land.

During his address, the Chief Minister urged farmers to preserve their land, describing it as a vital resource for sustenance. He also highlighted the ‘Kavach’ scheme, designed to provide economic security. This initiative has already assisted 5,000 farmers by resolving issues with cooperative accounts, providing interest-free loans, and offering a 12-month repayment period.
