Madhya Pradesh CM transfers ₹203 crore to labor welfare beneficiaries
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has transferred ₹203 crore to the bank accounts of 9,149 eligible beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) 2.0 scheme. This disbursement represents the 11th installment of ex-gratia assistance intended to provide financial relief to workers and their families during times of crisis, such as the untimely death of a breadwinner or sudden economic hardship.
During a video conference, the Chief Minister highlighted that the Sambal scheme has supported over 1.84 crore workers in the state. He also noted that Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in India to implement the ‘Shram Shakti Samhita’ (Labor Power Code).
Additionally, the state government has introduced the ‘Shram Star Rating’ to ensure worker safety and dignity, alongside the ‘Shramana’ scheme, which aims to make workers self-reliant by connecting them with cooperatives.
