Madhya Pradesh state welfare disbursements
Overview
The Madhya Pradesh state government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has implemented several large-scale financial disbursement programs for various beneficiary groups.
In mid-August 2026, the government transferred over 2,148 crore rupees to more than 1.25 crore women under the Ladli Behna Yojana. This disbursement, conducted via a single click during an event in Maihar, included the 39th monthly installment of 1,500 rupees per person, supplemented by a 250-rupee special gift for the Raksha Bandhan festival. Since the scheme’s inception in June 2023, the state has transferred a cumulative total of 63,248 crore rupees through 39 installments. To ensure the program’s longevity, the state cabinet has approved 1,14,365 crore rupees to continue the scheme through the 2030-31 fiscal year.
Following this, the Chief Minister is scheduled to transfer the 40th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana on September 13 from Agar Malwa. This upcoming disbursement is expected to total 1,835 crore rupees, providing 1,500 rupees each to 12,510,150 eligible women. This would bring the total amount transferred under the program to approximately 65,395 crore rupees.
Additionally, the Chief Minister has overseen the transfer of 203 crore rupees to 9,149 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) 2.0 scheme. The state has also introduced labor-related initiatives, such as the ‘Shram Shakti Samhita’ and the ‘Shram Star Rating’, to improve worker safety and self-reliance.
