Madhya Pradesh police reshuffle: 137 officers transferred

The Madhya Pradesh Home Department has issued a major reshuffle order affecting 137 police officers. The transfer list includes 10 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 127 State Police Service officers.

Key appointments include Manish Bhardwaj, who moves from Cyber Police Headquarters in Bhopal to become the Kotwali Assistant Commissioner of Police in Indore City, and Alok Kumar Verma, appointed as Rewa City Superintendent of Police. Other notable transfers involve Manoj Kumar, who will serve as ACP of MP Nagar in Bhopal, and several Sub-Divisional Officers of Police (SDOP) assigned to districts such as Burhanpur, Narsinghpur, Ratlam, Sagar, Dhar, and Singrauli.

The reshuffle includes officers from the 2023 and 2024 IPS batches. Officials stated the administrative exercise is intended to strengthen law and order and improve the efficient functioning of the state police force. All new assignments are temporary and remain in effect until further orders.
