Madhya Pradesh rolls out free e‑bus trials and Jan Vishwas grievance campaign

Bhopal will begin free passenger trials of ten electric buses on two routes under the central PM‑eBus Sewa scheme. The trial, starting on Monday, follows five days of empty‑run testing and will continue until the official launch scheduled for August 15. The buses feature digital ticketing, CCTV, AI‑based passenger counting, wheelchair lifts and other safety systems. The state plans to expand the fleet to 100 e‑buses on ten routes by the end of 2026.

The Madhya Pradesh government will launch the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan on August 7, a weekly Friday outreach where ministers, public representatives and officials meet citizens to address grievances and review the implementation of government schemes. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh said the campaign will strengthen accountability, take strict action against irregularities and operate without an additional budget.
