Madhya Pradesh to provide laptop funds to 122,000 students
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer funds totaling over 304.98 crore rupees to meritorious students to facilitate the purchase of laptops. The initiative, managed through the School Education Department, aims to bridge the digital divide and encourage technical proficiency among students.
Under the Talented Student Incentive Scheme, approximately 122,000 students who secured 75 percent or higher marks in their Class 12 examinations on the first attempt will receive 25,000 rupees each. The funds will be transferred directly into the students' bank accounts.
A formal distribution ceremony is scheduled for September 1 at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal. The government intends for these digital resources to support higher education through e-learning, online study, and access to digital educational materials.
