Madonna del Carmine celebrations draw crowds in Italian towns

In the southern Italian town of Giovannazzo, a traditional evening procession honoring the Madonna del Carmine took place on July 19, organized by the local parish under the guidance of Don Vincenzo Sparapano. The event followed the 18:30 Mass and saw thousands of faithful walk through the San Giuseppe district, with many elderly and ill participants watching from balconies.

In the lakeside town of Luino, the feast of the Madonna del Carmine was marked by a solemn Mass presided over by Prelate Don Cesare Zuccato, attended by the mayor, vice‑mayor, police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and local volunteers. The celebration featured a choir performance and concluded with a rosary recitation, emphasizing community vocation and shared faith.
