Madonna del Paradiso returns to Mazara del Vallo, boosting community spirit

The Madonna del Paradiso visited Borgata Costiera in Mazara del Vallo for the first time in twelve years. The religious procession drew a broad cross‑section of residents—families, youth, seniors, volunteers and local associations—who helped organise the event. A notable highlight was a stop at Borgo Blu, a centre supporting children on the autism spectrum and their families. Parish priest Don Antonino Favata emphasized the occasion’s role in reinforcing local identity, stating, “Nessuno si è sentito ospite, nessuno si è sentito spettatore. Tutti ci siamo sentiti protagonisti.” The celebration concluded with a Mass presided over by Don Orazio Placenti, reinforcing the bond between the town’s centre and its coastal district.
