Madonna delle Grazie celebrations begin across Benevento and Capua

The solemn novena honoring the Madonna delle Grazie started on 22 June in the Archdiocese of Benevento, with daily rosary recitations, Eucharistic celebrations and evening prayers. The nine‑day program includes a special catechesis on 23 June, a Mass for health‑care workers on 26 June, and a “day of light” on 27 June.

In Capua, the historic Arciconfraternita Maria Santissima delle Grazie opened its novena on 23 June at the late‑Baroque confraternity church. Daily rosary prayers and Masses continue for nine days, culminating on 2 July with a procession of an 18th‑century statue of the Virgin, a fireworks display, and blessings of animals and vehicles. A thanksgiving Mass follows on 3 July.

Both towns will observe the solemn feast day on 2 July with special liturgies and traditional local customs.
