Madonna delle Grazie festivals boost chapel restoration in Campania, Italy

In Patierno, a frazione of Vico Equense, the annual celebrations for the Madonna delle Grazie highlighted both faith and cultural heritage. A restored statue and painting of the Madonna were unveiled, and a newly published historical volume on the Chapel of San Nicola was presented. The events are intended to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the historic chapel.

In Cacciano di Cautano, the local Festa Madonna delle Grazie committee organized a four‑day program from July 2 to July 5. Activities combined religious rites—such as a procession, the blessing of tractors and the pilgrimage of the statue—with a civil programme that included concerts, a dance‑tarantella troupe, comedy performances by Francesco Procopio and Biagio Izzo, and children's entertainment. The festival aims to reinforce community ties while supporting the chapel’s restoration efforts.
