Madrid and Soria announce summer bullfighting festivals
Madrid will host the seventh edition of the nocturnal novillada competition “Cénate Las Ventas” at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas. Five novilladas will run on Thursday evenings from 25 June to 23 July, culminating in a final on 23 July. The event also includes a food fair featuring Madrid wines, cheeses, cured meats and other local products, with live music after the bullfighting program.
Soria’s Feria Taurina 2026 was presented by Tauroemoción and the city council. The fair runs from 24 June to 28 June and includes two bullfights, a rejón (bull‑on‑horse) event, two novilladas without picadors, and the traditional “suelta de vaquillas”. The programme lists the participating toreros and livestock, and notes a new multi‑year contract for the festival’s management aimed at stabilising the event’s future.
