Madrid announces 25 million euro Metro Ligero Oeste expansion

The Community of Madrid has announced plans to expand the Metro Ligero Oeste Line 3 by adding two new stations. The extension will run from the Puerta de Boadilla station to the Valenoso neighborhood in Boadilla del Monte.

The project involves an estimated investment of 25 million euros. Regional authorities stated the expansion is necessary to accommodate the significant population growth in Valenoso, which has increased by 39% over the last decade. The new connection aims to provide better mobility and public services to the growing residential area.
