Madrid, Balearic Islands, and Málaga dominate Spain's luxury housing market
Spain's most expensive residential addresses are concentrated in the Balearic Islands, Madrid, and the province of Málaga, according to a new report from the real estate portal Idealista. The top ten locations feature median asking prices ranging from approximately 6.4 million euros to 15 million euros.
Camí des Salinar in Andratx, Mallorca, holds the top position with a median price of 15 million euros. Madrid shows significant growth in the luxury sector, claiming four of the top ten spots, including Paseo de los Lagos in Pozuelo de Alarcón at 11 million euros. The Málaga province also maintains a strong presence with three locations, including Urbanización Coto Zagaleta in Benahavís at 10.5 million euros and areas in Marbella.
The ranking reflects a change in methodology by Idealista, which has transitioned from using average prices to median prices. This shift resulted in Barcelona falling out of the top ten list.
