Madrid Bar Association attends opening of the 2026 Judicial Year

The Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) participated in the solemn opening of the 2026 Judicial Year, an event presided over by the King of Spain. ICAM Dean Eugenio Ribón and Vice-Dean Isabel Winkels represented the legal profession at the ceremony.

During the event, ICAM reaffirmed its commitment to judicial independence, institutional quality, and the strengthening of public justice services. The association has proposed ten specific measures aimed at improving judicial functioning, reducing delays, increasing available resources, and ensuring the right to a defense and effective judicial protection.
