During the first novillada of the San Isidro festival at Las Ventas in Madrid, young torero Álvaro Serrano delivered a performance that earned him the coveted Puerta Grande. Observers noted his composure, ambition and precise technique, describing the bout as a “step forward” in his career.

In the same program, Antonio Ferrera appeared in the short‑lived ‘Partido de Resina’. While the overall event suffered from low attendance and a lack of excitement, Ferrera’s two bouts were praised for skill and bravado, standing out amid an otherwise underwhelming showing.
