Madrid hosts FIAA 2026 bus exhibition and interihotel MAD26

Madrid’s IFEMA exhibition complex is hosting two major industry events: the FIAA 2026 bus and coach exhibition and the sixteenth edition of interihotel MAD26.

At FIAA 2026, Irizar showcased significant updates to its vehicle lineup. The company introduced a revised ieTram, which features a lower height of 3.3m, wider doors, and a weight reduction of 1.2 tonnes due to the use of high-strength stainless steel. These changes aim to reduce consumption by 15-20%. Additionally, Irizar presented the i3 Normal Height, an electric intercity model powered by a 380kW motor and 528kWh batteries.

Simultaneously, interihotel MAD26, organized by the AMBIT Living Spaces Cluster, focuses on the theme of ‘Creative Rebellion’ within hospitality design. The event features approximately 350 brands and 200 international speakers. The program is divided into three thematic pillars: ‘The Inside Rebellion’ focusing on design identity, ‘The Green Rebellion’ addressing environmental responsibility, and ‘The Future Rebellion’ exploring guest experiences. The event includes the Interiors Living Lab, which showcases full-scale physical prototypes and material labs.
