Madrid launches itinerant independent cinema program

The Comunidad de Madrid and the Márgenes Festival have launched ‘Márgenes en Ruta – Cine en Comunidad’, an itinerant program designed to bring independent and auteur cinema to five different locations across the region. The initiative aims to expand cultural access and promote territorial balance by decentralizing cinematic activities.

As part of the program, the film ‘Tardes de soledad’ by Albert Serra is scheduled to be screened in Las Rozas on October 3, 2026. The documentary, which explores the rituals of bullfighting through the perspective of torero Andrés Roca Rey, has received significant critical acclaim, including the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Festival and the Goya Award for Best Documentary.
